I have a M.Sc. degree in Chemistry and a PhD degree in Biochemistry (University of Oviedo, Spain). I also did a four years Residency Training Program in Clinical Biochemistry at Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias (HUCA), Oviedo, Spain. From January 2011 to March 2014, I worked as postdoctoral fellow at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada) where I acquired experience in Proteomics. Currently, I am working as Clinical Biochemist and Mass Spectrometry Specialist at HUCA. There, I am the responsible for developing mass spectrometry-based clinical assays with three new state-of-the-art mass spectrometers (ICP-MS, GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS).
