Elena Chekmeneva
Imperial College London

Currently, I am a Research Associate at the Department of Surgery and Cancer and the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Imperial College London. I am working in the project INTERMAP (INTERnational collaborative study of MAcronutrients, micronutrients and blood Pressure) developing a high-throughput mass spectrometry method for the detection and quantification of metabolites in >10,000 urine samples. I obtained my PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Barcelona in 2009. In 2011, I was awarded with the Newton International postdoctoral Fellowship from the Royal Society of Chemistry to work in the group of the Professor Christopher Hunter at the University of Sheffield.
