Cody Goodwin
Vanderbilt University

Cody Goodwin graduated from University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL) in 2008 with a bachelor in science in chemistry, where he engaged in research pertaining to the remediation of ground water and soil contaminants through zero-valence bimetal catalysis systems. In 2013, Cody received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) with his dissertation titled “Advanced Structural Mass Spectrometry for Metabolomics”. He has focused on developing methods for primary and secondary metabolite interrogation and prioritization, and alternative means of data organization and visualization. These methods have been applied to natural product discovery from cave derived microorganisms, the interpretation of aberrant sera metabolite profiles from cocaine exposed rats, and bioreactor effluent analysis.
