Ashley Beasley Green
National Institute of Standards and Technology

Dr. Ashley Beasley Green is currently a Bioanalytical Chemist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the Bioanalytical Science Group within the Biomolecular Measurement Division. Dr. Green’s research primarily focuses on the standardization of protein metrology and the development of protein-based NIST Reference Materials and Standard Reference Materials to support basic research and clinical applications. Dr. Green graduated from Spelman College in 2004 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and received numerous academic and scientific awards and honors. She continued her studies in biomedical research at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she received a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences in 2009 under the mentorship of the world-renown mass spectrometrist, Robert J. Cotter, PhD. Dr. Green’s research interests include biochemistry, proteomics and biological applications of mass spectrometry.
