Irene van den Broek has a professional doctor degree in pharmacy and is a registered toxicologist. She did a PhD in analytical drug toxicology on the topic “Quantitative bioanalysis of bioactive peptides by liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry”. Since 2013, Irene van den Broek works as a post-doctoral researcher at the department of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine of the Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands, and focuses on the development of quantitative proteomics methods for application in clinical chemistry.
