David Phelps
Imperial College, London

As a clinical research fellow at Imperial College London my research interests include translational research that truly personalises patients’ care. I work alongside Prof Zoltan Takats with mass spectrometry and the iKnife. The iKnife’s tissue identification abilities have proven to have significant potential in gynaecological tissues. I also have research interests in DNA methylation and its potential ability to allow surgical stratification of patients by allocating them treatment options according to differential methylation at certain genetic CpG sites. My clinical interests revolve around gynaecology oncology surgery and I endeavour to be accepted onto the sub-specialist training programme for this from 2018.
