MSACL Presenter Biography

Pamela Pruski
Imperial College London

I am currently a first-year PhD student working in Professor Zoltan Takats research group at Imperial College London. Our research is aimed at the development of new mass spectrometric approaches that will eventually facilitate diagnosis of diseases as a new point-of-care analysis method in the clinical lab with special emphasis on ambient ionization techniques such as Desorption Electrospray Ionization (DESI) and Rapid Evaporative Ionization Mass Spectrometry (REIMS). I have performed my Master studies in Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry at the Justus-Liebig University, Germany, with special emphasis on mass spectrometry instrumentation and its application on clinical samples using high resolution matrix assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry imaging in mass and space.
