I have a M.Sc. Degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Iceland since 2010 and have pursued a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Iceland since 2011. I am an expert in assay development of biomarkers utilizing mass spectrometry and have extensive experience in the field of Lipidomics. Since 2012 I have worked as laboratory manager at ArcticMass Ltd. a bio-analytical spin-off company from deCODE genetics. As a part of my Ph.D. I have co-supervised three M.Sc. students at the faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Iceland in the field of analytical chemistry with a focus on lipid analysis with mass spectrometry.
