MSACL Presenter Biography

Alec Saitman
University of California, San Diego

Dr. Saitman received his BS degree in Molecular Synthesis at the University of California, San Diego. He received his PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of California, San Diego where he focused his research on the total synthesis of marine natural products. In September of 2013, he took a position as a clinical chemistry fellow in the department of pathology at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Saitman’s research interests focus on clinical mass spectrometry method development for the quantitative analysis of small molecules in patient specimens. He is currently developing mass spectrometry methods for therapeutic drug monitoring of immunosuppressant drugs.
