| Liquid chromatography – tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) is now an accepted technique in clinical chemistry laboratories. Improvements in sensitivity, specificity and precision and the ability to multiplex tests have greatly hastened the techniques’ adoption. However, lack of standardization – or at the least lack of harmonization – of assays has slowed LC/MS from reaching its true potential. This workshop will focus on recent efforts at harmonization of some of the most widely adopted LC/MS assays for routine use today. |
