| Support for pain management is a particularly challenging area in laboratory medicine today. Traditional approaches to clinical toxicology screening are generally insufficient for management of patients given controlled substances for pain. This session will discuss the role of laboratory testing in pain management, what types of testing are needed, and how mass spectrometry can play a significant role in improving laboratory support for this clinical area. |
