Tuesday Track 1 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Chair: Ravinder Singh

Track 1

Vitamin D test is a frequently ordered by the clinicians and is performed in many clinical laboratories these days, but the test is not without its controversies. Various methodologies including mass spectrometry and commercial kits are available to perform the testing. Various forms of Vitamin D exist in circulation. What form should be tested for which clinical condition is confusing?

Labs must also be aware of the standardization issues and analytical challenges involved in this type of testing, and know how to manage them to produce an accurate result that clinicians can understand.

During this session, experts will address the challenges involved in performing vitamin D testing. Six speakers will be selected from the posters.
