A metabolomic study of Clinical Prostate biopsies, plasma, and urines has revealed a novel biomarker of prostate cancer and given insight into metastatic cancer progression. Specifically, the compound sarcosine was shown to be highly correlated with cancer development. A number of additional studies have revealed some interesting biological connections.
