View Long Abstract
The transforming growth factor (TGF)-β signaling pathway is known to be critical in the tumorigenesis and metastasis of pancreatic cancer because it plays a paradoxical role as both a tumor suppressor and a tumor promotor. Here we performed a global phosphoproteomics analysis of Human Pancreatic Carcinoma cell line (PANC1) following TGF β stimulation. A combination of a strong cation exchange (SCX) and TiO2-based phosphopeptide enrichment method was applied. We were able to identify several key proteins in the TGFβ signaling pathway were phosphorylated following TGFβ stimulation.
