View Long Abstract
Organophosphate pesticides continue to be used in agriculture and in residential settings in the United States. This study analyzed six urinary dialkyl phosphate metabolites by isotope dilution gas chromatography/high resolution mass spectrometer. Accurate mass measurement was applied for fragment ion formula determination, and setting MID method by selectively monitoring the most abundant fragment ions. The sample preparation procedure included sample lyophilizarion, derivatization of OP metabolites, and SPE clean-up by GCB/PSA, which eliminated matrix effects and yielded satisfactory recoveries of the six metabolites. The method limits of detection were 0.60-32.5 pg/mL. The method was validated for California Environmental Contaminant Biomonitoring Program.
