| The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) revised drug testing guidelines will place additional stress on toxicology labs. As such, there is an increased need for a streamlined procedure for sample cleanup and analysis. Therefore, the goal of the study was to develop a minimum number of extraction methods on one solid phase extraction sorbent, while also minimizing the number of steps and solvents needed. The result was 3 extraction methods for the complete SAMHSA drug panel. Recoveries ranged from 99.6% to 102.2%, RSD values ranged from 0.43% to 3.03%, and linearity correlation values from 0.995 to 0.999. |
