Methods were developed to test for exposure to two common phthalates, di-n-butyl phthalate (DNBP) and di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and bisphenol-A. Phthalate exposure can be assessed in urine by measuring the presence of phthalate metabolites. A quantitative analysis was performed on a Waters TQD Mass Spectrometer with an ACQUITY UPLC. A method for total bisphenol-A in urine utilizing liquid-liquid extraction followed by PFAA derivatization and analysis by GC-MS. Free bisphenol-A in serum, plasma or blood was accomplished with SPE, PFAA derivatization and GC-MS analysis. |
