A method for the routine analysis of fifteen pain management drugs representing different treatment approaches with corresponding clinical relevant concentration ranges in human urine has been successfully developed utilizing ESI-LC/MS/MS. The pain management panel consists of Buprenorphine, Codeine, Fentanyl, Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone, Meperidine, Methadone, Morphine, Naloxone, Naltrexone, Norbuprenorphine, Norfentanyl, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, and Tramadol as well as respective internal standards.
Simple "dilute and shoot" methodology was used for sample preparation. The robust and reproducible method for the pain management drugs allows for high-throughput analysis producing accurate and precise results. |
