View Long Abstract
A UPLC/MS/MS method was developed for measurement of metanephrine, normetanephrine and 3-methoxytyramine in plasma with fully automated SPE conducted onboard the Tecan Freedom EVO® 100 liquid handling system. Analysis of extracts using Waters® ACQUITY® UPLC amide column and a Waters Xevo TQ mass spectrometer allowed the sensitive and precise detection of metanephrines in anonymised human plasma samples received from and compared with the LC/MS/MS plasma metanephrine service provided by The University Medical Centre, Groningen. Replicate analysis of spiked-plasma QC material gave inter-and intra-assay CV<6.7 and <5.3% respectively.
