View Long Abstract
Toxicology screening is generally divided into two categories: multi-targeted screening (MTS) and general unknown screening (GUS). Each approach has both advantages and disadvantages. In this work, a new LC-MS/MS methodology will be presented which combines both MTS and GUS analyses, in a single run. An AB SCIEX QTRAP hybrid tandem mass spectrometer-linear ion trip is used in order to acquire both quantitative (MRM) and qualitative (linear ion trap full-scan MS/MS) information. The MS/MS spectra are automatically submitted for library searching for confirmation of compound IDs.
