View Long Abstract
Automated LC/MS data analysis tools can increase analyst efficiency. UHPLC with high resolution mass spectrometry enables analysis for a number of chemicals simultaneously, and can allow for molecular formula calculation. The current work is focused on collection of full-scan data on a number of instruments. These data are then processed using third party software for a target list of compounds, and then subsequently reprocessed to generate a list of “non-targets”. To model this work, a mixture of poisons/toxins and adulterants are combined with over 500 pesticides. The overall impact of the collection parameters and analytical process will be discussed.
