Presentation lengths ranging from 25-40 minutes with extended Q&A - typically 15-30 min.
After submitting through the online portal and being accepted to present, Podium presenters will either be administratively placed in a session.
Presentations will occur in session of 2 to 4 abstracts with each presentation being either 10 or 15 minutes with 5 minutes for Q&A. There may be a 10-15 minute intermission between the talks to allow time for attendees to visit vendor breakout rooms in order to learn more about tools and services available to accelerate their research.
After submitting through the online portal and being accepted to present, Poster presenters will either be administratively placed or have the option to select the date and time of their presentation. Expect anywhere from 5-10 other poster presenters in each session.
Presenters will open with a 2-3 minute, single-slide pitch (depending on the number of presenters), and then each presenter will move to a breakout room to attend visitors interested in discussing their science.
Slide sharing in the breakout rooms is expected, but not required. It is recommended that the presenter partition their "poster" in 1 to 5 slides rather than share an actual poster.
Expected duration: up to ~1 hr.
You are automatically entered by submitting an abstract. Judging of student posters will take place during each scheduled poster session with announcement of the winner(s) on Friday September 17, following the closing plenary with Stephen Pennington.
Logos on Slides
For both Podium and Poster presentations, please limit the use of logos on your slides to the first slide in your deck.
