Soumen Manna
Laboratory of Metabolism, NCI, NIH

I received my Ph.D in chemical sciences from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India. I worked on elucidation structure-function relationship of metalloproteins using biophysical studies as well as engineering them for unnatural substrate catalysis. Currently, I use mass spectrometry-based metabolomics along with transcriptomic and biochemical analysis to identify biomarkers of pathogenesis as well as to elucidate underlying mechanism. My research interest and ongoing projects include liver diseases, cancer, redox biology, post-translational modification, dietary supplements, metagenomics, and personalized medicine.
