MSACL Presenter Biography

Nathaniel Mahieu
Washington University

I currently attend Washington University in St. Louis as a second year graduate student. I joined Dr. Gary Pattiā€™s lab about 8 months ago after seeing a large overlap in my interests and the progression of metabolomics as a technology. I am supported in part by a GAANN fellowship and enjoy both the teaching and research aspects of my position. I received a B.S. in Chemistry with ACS certification and a B.S. in Biochemistry with honors from the University of Missouri in 2011. During my undergraduate I was supported by the Life Sciences Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program and the Undergraduate Research Mentorship Program in the lab of Dr. Kent Gates. Prior to this I tutored math and chemistry for Mizzou Athletics and worked at TEVA Pharmaceuticals in a quality control laboratory.
