I obtained my M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at Jilin University in China, and my Ph.D. in material science at Metal Research Institute-Chinese Academy of Science. I have worked as a senior research scientist in the Biochemical genetics laboratory at Duke University Health System since 2004. I have specialized in the development of novel biomarker assays for metabolic disorders, oxidative stress and glucose kinetics in vivo using LC-MS/MS. I have also worked on new technologies for direct analysis of dried blood spots.
