Zhengjiang Zhu
The Scripps Research Institution

I received my B.S. degree in Chemistry at Nanjing University, China in 2006. After that, I went to University of Massachusetts at Amherst to pursue my Ph.D. degree. Under the supervision of Prof. Richard W. Vachet and Prof. Vincent M. Rotello, I developed a mass spectrometry-based technique to characterize and track synthetic nanomaterials in complex biological and environmental systems. In 2011, I completed my Ph.D. degree, and moved to The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Prof. Gary Siuzdak's group. In TRSI, my work focuses on developing new mass spectrometric techniques for structural and biological characterization of metabolites and exploring the applications of metabolomics in systems biology.
