Then I got a second degree in Clinical Biochemistry in florence University and last but not the list I got an award in Economic Science in Milan Ambrosetti School. Now I am the Managing Director of Eureka srl Lab Division , this company produces many kits ready to use for clinical applications regarding parmacological (TDM) and toxicological areas (confirmation test of drugs of abuse).

To analyze correctly full panel in routine it's necessary to have a medium/high level mass QQQ detector coupled with an UHPLC. Alifax - Eureka Steroid Hormones in serum LC-MS/MS kit ready to use (CE/IVD) permits the simultaneous analisis of the most important steroids in a un single cromatography sample run (17-OH-Progesterone, Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS), Androstenedione, Cortisol, 11-Deoxycortisol, Corticosterone, Aldosterone, Testosterone, Dihydrotestosterone, Androsterone, Estrone, Estradiol, Pregnenolone, 17-OH-Pregnenolone, Progesterone, 11-Deoxycorticosterone).
Matrix sample is deproteinized with an appropriate reagent containing deuterated internal standards (Cortisol d4,17-OH Progesterone d8,Aldosterone d7,Pregnenolone d4,Testosterone d3,Estradiol d5), centrifuged, evaporated, resuspended and injected into LC-MS/MS.
This method is simple, robust, sensitive and fast. Chromatography run lenghts is 6-7 minutes.
Calibration curve on 7 concentration levels is manufactered covering clinical Mass range, usually less than the lower limit and more than the higher level. Controls are 2 levels, low and high concentrations. Calibrators and Controls are serum lyophils.
Most of analites are simply detected with a medium LC-MS/MS systems but all of them are well analized (after the low limit of clinical range values) with high LC-MS/MS systems.
Three different kits are available, a part the unic 17 analites kit, covering three different panels/profiles (Glucocorticoids, Mineralcorticoids and Sexual hormones) using same column and same reagents.
Futures like simplicity, robustness and reproducibility obtained with this method make it a suitable kit to support the clinical laboratory routine.
