Developing a Training Curriculum for LC-MS/MS Labs

Short Abstract

This is the first segment of a 60 min workshop session that will involve short lectures and small-group work on how to develop an effective training curriculum for clinical mass spectrometry assays. This session will cover the first 20 min and include two talks: Developing a Training Curriculum for LC-MS/MS -- Faye Vicente; Using Online Resources for LC-MS/MS Training -- Judy Stone.

Long Abstract

Introduction

Developing an effective training packet is an integral part of establishing and maintaining quality in a MS lab operation. A training curriculum helps leadership and staff clarify the content to be covered, the method(s) used for instruction, and the way(s) competency will be assessed. This 60 min workshop session will involve short lectures and small group work.

This session will cover the first 20 min and include two talks:

Developing a Training Curriculum for LC-MS/MS -- Faye Vicente;

Using Online Resources for LC-MS/MS Training -- Judy Stone.
