| | Jianhui Zhu (Presenter) University of Michigan | Presenter Bio: Dr. Jianhui Zhu is a Lead Research Scientist in the Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan. Her research aims to identify and validate tumor markers based on cancer stem cells (CSCs), circulating tumor cells (CTCs), exosomes, patient blood and tissues for early cancer detection, prognosis and therapeutic monitoring. This involves the development of novel biomarker assays using advanced mass spectrometry and proteomic technologies for determination of differentially expressed proteins and aberrant glycosylation in tumorigenesis. She has published 43 peer-reviewed research articles and received the NCI R50 award in 2018 for her work on discovery of new glyco-markers for early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
