Summary

Part I – Collaborative Software Automation

Releasing high quality chromatography and mass spectrometry results at a high operational tempo with high confidence requires the active coordination of a number of agents and systems in the laboratory. Multiple technical elements are involved: sample preparation, liquid handling, LC/GC, MS, LIS - and they all have "a story to tell", above and beyond just the acquired data. Multiple people and roles are involved as well: technicians, scientists, quality assurance, regulatory, business - and they each have context to add. But what’s the best way to bring all of that value together? Find out how ASCENT’s approach to collaborative software automation can have meaningful impacts in your lab, today.

Part II – Validation Monitoring

When is an assay no longer “the same” assay? It’s not uncommon in the lab for an operator to make small adjustments, to address the analytical reality of running instrumentation under high throughput conditions. Chromatography columns and MS ion sources can both show fatigue, inducing small changes in the acquired data - adjusting retention times and peak processing thresholds are often done to keep the system operating optimally. But how much of a change is too much of change, potentially altering the validated state of the assay? Recent regulatory changes, such as the new CAP Checklist, describe the increasing requirements in documenting system validation. Learn how Indigo and ASCENT can provide real-time validation monitoring, to turn validation from something that is ‘done’ into something that is always happening, automatically.

Part III – Beyond the Batch

Releasing results in an efficient, confident, and quality-supportive manner is more than just finishing up that one batch. Each batch is critically important, but multiple batches represent your business. The use of a data warehouse and a variety of data analytics packages, such as Tableau or PowerBI, can provide both retrospective and real-time business intelligence and data analytics that will help you monitor your quality, improve your laboratory processes, and identify possible technical improvements. See how Indigo can provide new ways to understand your laboratory and your business.
