MSACL Mission : Translating Pre-Clinical Research to Clinical Patient Careā„¢

Our mission is to enhance patient outcomes by facilitating the translation of pre-clinical research into clinical patient care. Incorporated in May 2009 as a California non-profit organization, MSACL is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

MSACL drives the development of new technologies for laboratory medicine focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of clinical disorders. Key technologies in this mission are mass spectrometry and data science.

We are committed to training practitioners, physicians, laboratory scientists, industrial scientists, and healthcare professionals to improve patient care standards. To achieve this, MSACL hosts international conferences and publishes the Journal of Mass Spectrometry & Advances in the Clinical Lab.

Target Community

Our target community comprises pathologists, clinical laboratory scientists, clinicians and researchers, as well as relevant government employees and industry professionals. Additionally, the programs offered by MSACL are valuable for healthcare administrators, laboratory quality control specialists, and those responsible for implementing clinical analyses for emergency responses related to terrorism or accidents.

Conference attendees include individuals interested in the educational, medical, scientific, economic, and regulatory aspects of mass spectrometry applications in clinical laboratories.

Attendees engage in various facets of clinical analysis, including performance, interpretation, and reporting of diagnostic tests, as well as assay development, validation, and medical education. Many also participate in research that seeks to enhance the understanding of disease processes and develop new technologies.

MSACL is dedicated to informing and educating community members interested in mass spectrometry and related advanced technologies through our annual meetings, journal, and website.
