Reviewer Guidelines

Your review will help the editor assess the manuscript’s suitability for publication and provide constructive feedback to the author(s). A Conclusions section is optional for Research Articles and Short Reports.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Review Process

In addition to the author-submitted files, you may see AI-generated reports in the review folder. These were produced using OpenAI under a business license and include:

  • Statistics assessment
  • Similarity analysis
  • AI-assisted review of the manuscript

These reports may highlight potential issues, but they are not always correct. You are not required to use them. They are provided only as optional support. Always verify any AI-generated content before relying on it in feedback to authors.

Review Format Options

For Research Articles and Short Reports, the Associate Editor may provide an optional Review Form to help structure your evaluation. If no form is provided, you may submit your review using the following fields:

  • Confidential comments to the Editor
  • Comments for the Author (visible to the editorial team)

You may also upload a separate review document if preferred, or use it in addition to the provided fields.

Uploading an Annotated Manuscript

You may annotate the manuscript directly using comments or tracked changes in Microsoft Word. If you do so, upload the annotated .docx file along with your review.

Before submitting, remove all identifying information to maintain reviewer anonymity.

Competing Interests

If you have any potential conflicts of interest—personal, professional, financial, or institutional—please disclose them immediately. If the conflict may compromise your objectivity, decline the review.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts under review are confidential. Do not share, discuss, or cite the content outside the review process.

Timeliness

If you anticipate a delay, notify the editor as soon as possible.

Ethical Considerations

If you suspect plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical misconduct, report it confidentially to the editor. Do not contact the author directly.
