Poster Contest

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible you must be a current TRAINEE (e.g., students, post-docs, residents fellows and similar), or your training program must have ended after October 1, 2018. Reasonable exceptions may apply. Troubleshooting posters are not eligible.

AWARDS: There will be up to three 250 EUR awards*, depending on the number of participants and quality of the posters. There will be no place stratification (e.g., 1st, 2nd, 3rd).

Participants will need to upload a PDF of their poster via Manage Abstract by September 3, so that it may be reviewed by the judges to select the Semi-Finalists who will participate in the poster Lightning Talks.

ROUND ONE : Review of PDF Posters : The Judging Committee will review the Candidate Posters via Uploaded PDF between September 4 - 11. Each judge will select their 4 top posters, in order of preference. From these selections the Judging Committee will identify the semi-finalists (~15-20). Semi-Finalists will be notified by email by September 13 and will be required to submit one PDF slide 4:3 aspect ratio) for the Lightning Talks. If submission is not received by September 20, the semi-finalist will be disqualified.

ROUND TWO : Semi-Finalists will present their poster at the Lightning Talks on Tuesday September 24 from 16:15-16:45. Finalists (~6-8) will be notified by email between 17:00-20:00 on Wednesday April 3 and will move to Round Three (Final Round).

ROUND THREE : Oral Presentation & Defense: Thursday 9:30 - 10:30. Each judge will spend up to 5 minutes at each finalist's poster to collect information by which to determine the poster award winners. The judges may perform the finalist interviews as a group, in smaller groups, or individually, with each judge selecting their top 4 posters from which the winners will be determined. There will be up to 3 winners, depending on number of participants and quality of the posters.

POSTER AWARDS : Awardees will be announced on Thursday at 17:00 after Scientific Session 8, and prior to the closing Plenary. You must be present to win. Winners will receive awards of 250 EUR each, payable post-congress via PayPal*.

If you are a winner, your poster will be placed in the registration foyer during the Closing Reception.
